Camila Zatz was born in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, Brazil. After completing a B.Sc. in Biology at the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) in 2006, she went to the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) to start studying harvestmen under the direction of Glauco Machado. At the end of 2007 she made the exams to ingress in the Graduate Program in Ecology at USP. Her master thesis will focus on the mating system of the harvestman Promitobates ornatus, with special emphasis in the factors that determine the success of the males in territorial fights. Her master thesis is co-directed by Dr. Rogelio Macías Ordóñez from the Instituto de Ecología, Xalapa, Mexico.
